Fried Chicken with Lemon Sauce

I don’t cook Chinese food much because I don’t know many of the recipes. My mom gave me some of her old recipe books a few months ago. But, I have only tried this chicken with lemon sauce. The chicken was crispy, and the sauce was very creamy and lemony. It is a very good dish. And, it is definitely easier to make than I would imagine. This recipe probably is the most authentic Chinese food that I have made and posted so far. I am sure you will like this. Enjoy!

Creamy Lemon Shrimp with Rice

Last year, I saw Giada making this dish on TV. It looked so amazing, and I just had to try making it. I love it! It is creamy, fresh, and stuffing. Bryan is not a fan. He thinks the flavors combination is weird. Therefore, I only made this dish while Bryan can’t come home for dinner. Hmmmm…. I get to enjoy the whole thing by myself…. Yum yum! Salmon is great for you, and it is very tasty. This dish looks fantastic, which is great for special occasions and friends gathering. The salmon was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. It was moist and delicious. The pea puree brought some sweetness to the dish, and the lemon broth gave the dish some tangy flavors. I made this dish for Bryan’s birthday dinner, and he loved it.

I found this recipe by watching a Hong Kong cooking TV show. At first, I was a bit hesitated with the combination of the flavors. But it came out to be amazing! The more I eat it, the more I like it. Hot Lemon and Ginger Coke

In this rainy weather, Bryan was a bit sick. In Hong Kong, people believe a cup of hot lemon and ginger coke would alleviate cold and flu symptoms. But, some people believe that this hot drink is invented by a Hong Kong cafe owner. The owner saw the slow selling of coke during winter time, so he invented hot coke drink and claimed it is a remedy for cold and flu. This helped with the selling rapidly. Even though hot lemon and ginger coke may not be a remedy, a cup of hot drink is comforting when sick.

Salmon with Lemon and Thyme

This recipe is very easy and healthy. You can do this in 30 minutes. In the original recipe, rosemary and caper are being used. But Bryan and I both don’t like those two things much. I switched to thyme. It was perfectly fine and delicious. The salmon was moist and soft. This is a great light dinner.
